One Great Find from the Philippines I bought this beautiful set of hand crocheted coasters from SM Shoemart Kultura section in the Philippines during one of my annual visits. They come in a box of six and in different colors.  Aren't they fantastic!  This set  goes well with my blue and white china collection. Ampalaya or Bitter Melon  _Shown above is the Indian variety of Ampalaya, the most bitter of all fruits. It is a good source of Vitamins A and C, good for digestion,and  anticancer.  I usually stir fry them with garlic, onions, tomatoes and meat. I did not like ampalaya when I was little because of its bitternes now it's one of my favorites.
